WELL LONG TIME NO SEE! being summer an' all i haven't really gotten around to updating the site.. but mom, dad.. and many others have been nagging at me, SO I'M BACK :D i dunno about all you guys, but so far, summer has been great! not only do i have a wicked tan (it's only on the upper half of my back.. but yano)  , but i turned sixteen this past week! i've met a couple new friends, and i'm off to nova scotia in a couple of days! yes, the wonderful days of pie for breakfast and cake for lunch are here at last, and i'm enjoying every minute! but about the house!
i took the following pictures TODAY. yeah, recent, IIIIIIII know ;D BUTBUTBUT, in this post, there's not only pictures of the house to look forward too....no, there's a lovely little guest who's called a little crevice in our soon-to-be kitchen "home" :D so i'll just keep you in suspense until you scroll down and read everything before i tell you who our house guest is ;) 

LOOK, THE RAFTERS HAVE BEEN PUT UP :D ..rafters. hmm. sounds weird. but i do believe that's what they call the little pieces of wood that are the roof's foundation!

 OKOKOK, so the little guest is a flying creature. it has a beak, two wings, and a red tummy.. can you guess what it is?

 THAT'S RIGHT! IT'S A ROBIN :D:D:D:D:D:D isn't she gorgeous?

 at this point she was being all freaked out that mom and i had come into the house.. we kinda scared her off..  

 but EVENTUALLY, momma begins to trust that we aren't planning on shooting her with a nerf gun and eating her for dinner :) so she flies back inside and makes herself comfy!

 there she is again :) ...only this time she's giving us the death stare..

 away she flies when micheal comes in to get a piece of wood or something :( 

so when momma leaves the nest, i take the opportunity to climb up a ladder to check out the nest (looking, no touching!). AND LOOK! she's got herself three beautiful little eggs in the most amazing shade of blue i've ever seen! we've done a little research and found out that the eggs should hatch in about two weeks and after they're born, they stay in the nest for another 9 or so days and then they fly the coop :D awe, life. so cute.. especially in bird form :D

so i've come to the conclusion that building a house is like putting together a puzzle. i mean, they sell those little 3D puzzles (SOME OF WHICH GLOW IN THE DARK) and it's only a bit easier than building a house! .. haha, easy for me to say ;) all i do is take pictures and write about it! but really though! on the truck came these wonderful little TRIANGLE pieces and dads up there nailing them together! .. of course there's measuring, cutting, leveling, nailing, vapour barrier, ladders, sludge hammers...... OH, and a smashed thumb involved... but i mean... well. yeah, it's completely different than doing a puzzle :\ BUT YOU GET MY DRIFT! ... ok, anyways! the basement has been built forever ago, and today the final wall of the main floor went up! never mind looking like a house... this structure resembles nothing short of a palace!  of course, we can't give ALL the credit to daddio. ..most.. BUT NOT ALL. there's this wonderful german pilot man who comes and helps out when he's not flying (micheal, i think?). but yeah, he's been a huge help! SO THANKS MICHEAL! ..if that's your name.. hehehe.

 OUUUUUU...... ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh... (now imagine those little green aliens off of toy story saying that)

 *tear* ...i dunno why only half of this picture uploaded.. BUT.. yeah, remember that old shack i mentioned in blog number one? well i finally summoned up the guts to venture inside! ..it's super creepy.

 again... not sure why there's only a partial picture? and i can't figure out how to make it upright.. ANYWAYS, i walked into this shack and thought someone had hanged themselves from the ceiling (freaked out, lemmie tell ya!) thankfully though, it was just dad's apron :L

 .............fail. BUT THIS WAS SUPPOSED TO SHOW HOW CROOKED THE FLOORS ARE!

WELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL HOWDY. lets pretend i didn't neglect this blog for the past month :)
SO, first off, HAPPY JUNE :D it's the time of warm weather, short shorts... bugs.. and... exams. oh joy. WELL, just try to enjoy as much as i obviously am!
second, OUR HOUSE IS ON IT'S WAY! although i don't have any super duper recent pictures, i do have some from the earlier stages! it's coming along great by the way! the basement is closed in and the main floor is being worked on. there's this great german pilot who's been a great help. he goes over and helps dad when he's not flying an stuff! he's nice :) BUT YEAH, the house is moving CRAZY fast.. although it's gonna slow down just a lil next week cuz dad has to fly out to regina to get re-certified in the gun department!

HORRAY FOR ... uh.. well they put cement in the little boxes. 

AGAIN, horray for whatever they're called :D

WELL HEY. here's the low down on this new development! 

so waaaaay back when in like.. march (?) we managed to find a piece of land right in this .."wonderful" town of fort smith. it's approximately 0.6 acres and is right on border of the landslide zone (ouuu, scary, eh?) anyways, so the land is ours! :D there's a little shack type thing as well as a fail of an outhouse (eww) already on the land. the shack is gonna be used as storage for building stuff and as far as the outhouse goes.. well i'm hoping that will get taken away (i don't like the thought of a giant hole filled with ancient poop very much at all!). according to dad there's a possibility of breaking ground WITHIN THE NEXT FEW DAYS.. oh yeah. i'm pumped! if everything goes as planned, we should be all moved in by this christmas! so.. wish us luck!
